We had a wonderful conversation with Wayne Nelson from Little River Band & his wife Rhonda Nelson on The Chris & Sandy Show. We talked about so many things from family, touring, music, sacrifices, they told some really amazing and personal stories to a whole lot more!
Wayne Nelson is the lead singer, bass player and band leader and the one that you will be speaking to during this interview. Wayne has the distinct honor of being the longest running member of Little River Band to date. Nobody has been in the Little River Band longer than Nelson. The year 2021 marks his 41st year in this band.

LRB are extremely grateful for the opportunities their music gives them. They like to give back by supporting major causes like Wounded Warriors, Habitat for Humanity, Animal Rescue and Children’s Hospitals. They play several fund raisers yearly as well as donating to the causes themselves. The band is very interactive with their audiences and in fact takes photos of the audience and put them up on the LRB Facebook page so the audience members can find themselves and tags themselves and communicate back and forth with the audience. The bands album “Cuts Like a Diamond,” is still being talked about and shared. With several of the band members being singer/songwriters/musicians living in Nashville when not touring, a new album is on their “List of things to do.” Here is the lyric video for “Forever You, Forever Me”
In 2016 the band released the album, “The Hits…Revisited (See Below,) which had 9 big hits on it along with 2 new songs written by band members.

The band released THE BOX SET – Called THE BIG BOX on May 5th, 2017. The Big Box contains 6 discs, 5 CD’s and one DVD with some exclusive video footage. New songs are “Clean the Water” and “Prodigal Son.”
Little River Band played in Canada last summer, New Zealand in March of 2019 and they are heading to Germany in August of 2019
In 2019, the band started doing more shows with first chair orchestra ensembles which led to them creating the orchestral accompanied album, ‘BLACK TIE.’
2020
In conjunction with Time Life, the orchestra supported CD was released to the public in November 2020.
