I thought I was going to ease back into rebooting The Chris & Sandy Show, but I guess that’s not my style. I’m all in or nothing at all!
April is nearly booked for the days we have available. We’re still waiting on confirmation from many guests, but we have a strong lineup coming in April for the show’s reboot.
Honestly, I’m both nervous and excited. I don’t know if I’ll be as comfortable on live shows as I used to be. I hope I haven’t lost my touch, because we’re diving right in.
Just to clarify, we are NOT quitting The Customized Ride. It’s still growing, and we’ll continue to develop that brand.
We’re simply adding to what we already do because The Chris & Sandy Show was always such a passion. The conversations we had with guests were incredible at times. So many times, I was blown away by their stories.
I won’t reveal her name yet, but we also have a rising country artist coming on the show who’s doing amazing things on social media. I want to delve deep into her social media strategies to help other artists grow their music brands.
Our first guest is an actress on the Lifetime Movie Network. We’ll be going live with her a week from now on April 5th.
I have so much gratitude right now. I’ve truly missed our show, but I was waiting for the perfect guest to relaunch with. I feel like our first guest is the right one to kick things off.
I still have that big talk show dream for Sandy and me. This path isn’t easy, but based on what I’ve learned about social media from the car channel, I believe I’ll have more success this time around. At least, that’s my hope.
I was going to create a new Instagram account for The Chris & Sandy Show, but I’ve decided to see if I can revive the existing one. We already have 2 reels with over 100,000 views since reactivating it, so maybe I can bring that dead account back to life.
I’ve dreamt of doing this for at least six months, because I was always in my element on our show. But I feel ready for this reboot now.
We’ll also be looking for stories of entertainment industry horror stories. These would be accounts from people who went through difficult experiences in their careers. We want people in the entertainment industry to send these stories to us, and we’ll read them on air while reacting to them. I have no idea how this will turn out, but I think it could be interesting. We would ask that companies and names be left out of the stories, though. We just want the experiences themselves to be shared in writing.
We do have several other video aideas we will be implementing down the road too!
Let’s see how far we can take this. Let’s finish what Sandy and I started with The Chris & Sandy Show.
Why Did We Originally Put The Chris & Sandy Show on Hiatus?
The biggest reason was burnout. We did 600 interviews in just three years. That’s a lot of interviews in a short period of time. It was hectic. On top of that, we were dealing with the deaths of my dad and her mom, and it all became too much.
After a year off, I feel ready to jump back in.
Secondly, for most of the show’s run, we would put Katelynn down for a nap and have Lil Chris watch her. However, she eventually outgrew naps, which made it difficult to film the show.
She’s at an age now where Lil Chris can watch her in another room while we film.
Lastly, The Customized Ride took off so quickly that we had to put all our efforts into building that brand and seeing where it could go.
Now that The Customized Ride has a solid foundation, I feel like we can start doing The Chris & Sandy Show again.
I had so many amazing conversations on the show, and I can’t wait to start doing that again. We might not do as many interviews right away as we get back into the swing of things.
We’re excited but also a little nervous. Granted, I’ve done some interviews for The Customized Ride, so I’m not completely out of practice, but the nerves are still there.
I always said that if the right guest came along, I’d be willing to reboot the show, and that guest has arrived.
So here’s to building both brands this year: The Chris & Sandy Show and The Customized Ride!
