Why We Returned to The Chris & Sandy Show—It Was Always Home

In this journey of creating and sharing stories, sometimes you have to take a few detours to realize you’ve always known the way home. After experimenting with some new directions, we’ve made the heartfelt decision to return to The Chris & Sandy Show. And honestly, it feels like breathing again.

For a short season, I (Chris) tried running a few episodes under The Chris Benton Show. Sandy was still right there with me, by my side like she always has been. But no matter how we adjusted or how many episodes we recorded, it just didn’t sit right. Something was missing, even though nothing about us as a team had changed. The name felt… off. Like I was forcing an individual identity onto something that was always meant to be shared.

That’s when it really hit me—this show has never been just about me. It’s always been us. From day one, The Chris & Sandy Show has represented who we are together, both in life and behind the mic. We’ve built this platform as a couple, sharing our own story and giving space for others to share theirs. The dynamic, the back-and-forth, the love and laughter—it all flows better when it’s Chris & Sandy. That’s just who we are.

Lesson #1: Honor what’s already working.
Sometimes we think we need to rebrand, pivot, or “level up” by making changes that don’t actually align with our foundation. I learned that if something is already bearing fruit and feels authentic, it’s okay to lean into it deeper instead of trying to reinvent it.

Sandy has been fully on board with how the show has been running. In fact, together, we’ve found a rhythm that feels as natural and comfortable as those early days when we first hit record. The spark was never gone—it was just waiting for us to fully embrace it again.

Lesson #2: The people you build with matter.
This show is our baby because we built it together. No amount of “solo spotlight” can replace the power of partnership. When you do something as a team, you honor both the relationship and the shared mission. For us, The Chris & Sandy Show is the best reflection of that unity.

Lesson #3: Trust your gut (and your heart).
That unsettled feeling I had while operating under a solo name? That was God reminding me who we are and where we belong. Sometimes you don’t know you’re drifting until you feel out of place in your own creation. Thankfully, we listened to that tug and found our way back.

At the end of the day, going back to The Chris & Sandy Show isn’t just about branding—it’s about authenticity. It’s about showing up as we are and continuing to create a space for genuine, meaningful conversations that inspire others. This has always been our heart and always will be.

So, here’s to returning home, to staying true, and to sharing this next chapter with all of you—together.
