We had a great conversation with Honey County today on The Chris & Sandy Show. We also found out we played their new single coming our later this month called “Woke Up Tired” and we were the FIRST podcast / radio program to air this song. We are proud that we got to do that. You have to hear the song and the story behind it.
We talked about so much from music, their lives, their passion, sacrifices to a whole lot more. Click the play button to listen to the podcast.
Rooted in three-part vocal harmonies, pop hooks, southern twang, and California cool, Honey County is a female country trio featuring Dani Rose, Tracy Lambertucci and Sofie Lynn.
A group of hotshot instrumentalists as well as acclaimed songwriters, Honey County was launched by Rose, a Virginia native who moved to Los Angeles during the early 2010s. There, she found herself gravitating toward the sounds, stories, and swagger of country music, a genre that had been so prevalent back home. Formed in 2014, Honey County brought all three women together, kicking off a whirlwind career that has since found the group receiving praise from Rolling Stone; playing gigs alongside Lady Antebellum and Old Dominion; enjoying high-profile slots at CMA Fest and Stagecoach Festival; and receiving heavy airplay for independent singles like “Love Someone” (one of the most-played songs during the launch of Radio Disney Country),” “High on the Radio”, “Los Angeles”, and “Cigarette”.
