We had a great conversation with SohoJohnny on The Chris & Sandy Show. We talked about many things from family, music, sacrifices, he told some amazing stories to a whole lot more. He also talked about many of the causes he believes in too.
From his years of growing up on the mean streets of the Bronx through his decades of philanthropy, and producing shows and fundraisers with his multi-faceted event services company, SohoJohnny, the party has always been, often literally, sometimes figuratively and more recently, virtually, at John Pasquale’s house.
When John was a kid, troublesome gangs were roaming the street and the self-admitted class jester/jokester – though more honor student than tough guy – joined one as a matter of survival. By the sixth grade, he unintentionally tripped upon a better idea how keep the neighborhood kids safe. He hooked up an old phonograph, speakers and strobe light in the garage in the back of his parents’ first house, fashioning a popular refuge/hangout. As he got older, he DJ’d for gatherings at his family’s apartment, and when his parents bought larger digs in Westchester County, he frequently had the run of the house and built a reputation for graciously hosting what he calls “kick ass” parties so big that he had to hire security.
Decades later, the multi-faceted entrepreneur and musical impresario everyone affectionately calls “SohoJohnny” continues to fuse his grand gifts of hospitality and lifelong passion for music into producing some of the most popular, talked about live/virtual entertainment events in the Tri-State area and beyond. Over the years, his company, SohoJohnny, has been a driving force in bringing entertainment and music from the streets of SoHo to all around the world, creating dynamic star-studded events designed to get people motivated and dancing – and always for a good cause.
